How long have I been kitesurfing ?
About 15 years now although like quite a lot of people, I did have a slow start and didn't get out very often. I've been kiting very regularly for the last 8 years or so.
Where do I ride?
Anywhere between Budle Bay and Redcar - I travel to get the best conditions the North East has to offer. I occasionally go over to west coast when there's little wind over in the east. I'm hoping to do the complete BKSA tour again this year and meeting up with friends old and new.
NewSchool / OldSchool / Surf?
I like to do them all, although I'm just getting into the surf, I like to boost high and do deadman's and board-off's, some rotational jumps (especially powered backloops and off-axis frontrolls and tantrums). I'm getting more and more into wake-style, and like to pass the handle and kite-loop :)
Signature move
I love to bang out a nice high off-axis front roll with tail grab - I do them so much my lines always get twisted up in that direction! Besides that, any move with an air-pass in it, really gets my juices flowing!
Sponsors
Airush, Shinn and my Wife Jacqui - she doesn't help finance my gear, but she does feed me when I come home after a session ;-)
